Ranchi: The Bangalore Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested an accused youth from Katras near Dhanbad in Jharkhand in connection with the murder of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh of Karnataka. SIT has arrested a youth named Rajesh Devdikar alias Hrishikesh in the case of the murder of Gauri Lankesh.

Hrishikesh has been arrested by the SIT team of Karnataka. Hrishikesh aka Rajesh Devidkar is originally from Maharashtra and used to work at a petrol pump in Katras itself. However, for the last eight months, he was living in Katras of Dhanbad. Let us tell you that in September 2017, Gauri Lankesh was shot and killed. In the attack, he was shot with four bullets, due to which he died on the spot. The 55-year-old journalist used to run 'Lankesh Patrika'.

This is the 17th arrest in the Gauri Lankesh murder case. Hrishikesh was not a named accused in this case, but his involvement was revealed in the interrogation of the accused earlier, after which the Special Investigation Team of Bengaluru Police of Karnataka took action with the help of Katras police.
