Riteish Deshmukh is one of the most popular and loved actors in Bollywood. Riteish is the son of Late. Vilasrao Deshmukh, the former Union Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India, and the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The actor is celebrating his Birthday today. On his Birthday let us have a look on his interesting journey.

Family Background

Riteish Deshmukh made his debuted with K. Vijaya Bhaskar's Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) with his later to be wife Genelia D'Souza, but it was not until 2004 that he achieved success.  Riteish is also a qualified architect. He also obtained a degree in architecture from Kamla Raheja College of Architecture, Mumbai. He is the owner of an architectural and interior designing firm.

His late father Vilasrao Deshmukh was the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He also served as India's Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Besides this, the actor's brothers Dheeraj and Amit are also actively involved in politics. However Riteish decided to build his career in Bollywood.

Love life and Career

Riteish made his Bollywood debut with his now wife Genelia D’souza and they didn't like each other while working together for their debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam. Both the actors dated for almost a decade before marrying each other on 3 February 2012.

He got recognition by his film Masti.  In Masti also he was paired with his now wife Genelia. His work in Masti was nominated for several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor category. He later starred in successful films such as Heyy Babyy, Dhamaal, House Full. Double Dhamaal, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Housefull 2, Humshakals and Ek Villian. Riteish also made his debut as an film producer with the Marathi success Balak Palak, directed by Ravi Jadhav. The following year he made his acting debut in Marathi cinema with the action film Lai Bhaari.
