Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is trying to bring Chirag Paswan, who was lying alone after the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) collapsed. So far, RJD leaders were trying to include Chirag in the grand alliance, but now the RJD has devised another new strategy to please Chirag.
On July 5, the birthday of late LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan is celebrated. The RJD is trying to capitalise on this opportunity to bring Chirag along. The RJD has decided that its party will celebrate the birth anniversary of Ram Vilas Paswan on July 5. It may be mentioned that the date of July 5 is also special for rjd. That's because this day is also rjd's 25th foundation day and the same day is ram vilas paswan's birthday. The RJD has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Ram Vilas Paswan before the foundation day celebrations. According to sources, RJD is trying to bring Chirag to its camp by celebrating ram vilas paswan's birth anniversary.
In last year's Bihar assembly elections, LJP got about 6 per cent and a number of 26 lakh votes. Tejashwi's effort is to draw the 6-century Paswan vote bank with Chirag, which he can benefit from in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and then the 2025 assembly elections.
