Lucknow: Voting is underway for the first phase of Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh on February 10. For this, the veteran leaders of the state are appealing to the people to vote in a big way. Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Jayant Chaudhary has also appealed to voters to vote to elect a good and friendly government.

However, media reports have said that Jayant Chaudhary himself will not vote. However, Jayant's wife Charu has exercised her franchise from Mathura. Jayant also shared a picture of it on Twitter. Jayant Chaudhary says he will not go to cast his vote because of his election rally. Chaudhary is a voter of the Mathura region. A video of Jayant Chaudhary was released from RLD's Twitter this morning.

In it, Jayant Chaudhary is saying, "Remember the last 5 years once before you vote. You choose a government that speaks of your interest. Choose a government that protects your rights, keeps the society united, gives opportunities to the youth to move forward, gives women security, respects women and works for the upliftment of the country and the state by making this diversity of ours a strength.'
