Bhopal: Today, no one is unaware of how many incidents are happening every day across the country, and every day some one is also falling victim to these incidents. In this incident, 5 people died on the spot while more than a dozen people were injured. The condition of seven of the injured is said to be critical.

Police said that more than a dozen people were injured in Chitrakoot due to overturning of the tractor-trolley. Additional Superintendent of Police Gautam Solanki said that the condition of 7 of the injured is critical. He said that the victims of the incident are residents of Fatehpur in UP and were going to Chitrakoot for pilgrimage. The tractor-trolley overturned near the Jhari River after the driver lost control. 3 women and 2 men died at the scene.

The Nayagaon police is processing the case. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan expressed his condolences on the incident by tweeting. Shivraj Singh said in a tweet that 'Some citizens who came to visit Chitrakoot from Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh have received news of death in a road accident. I pray to God to give peace to the departed souls and give the family the strength to bear this grief and make the injured well soon. '
