Sangareddy, In a tragic incident, three persons were killed and 12 others injured in a road accident in Medak district of Telangana.

“The mishap took place near Danampally village in the wee hours when two families from Maharashtra were on their way to Tirupati and their vehicle rammed into a tree while the driver tried to avoid collision with an auto coming from the opposite direction”, said Venkataiah, Circle inspector of Jogipet police station.

The victims belonged to Wadi and Shikhar villages in Nanded district in the neighbouring state.

According to police, three persons died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Phulia Bhai, Laxmi Bhai and Bheem Rao.

The injured were rushed to government area hospital in Jogipet from where four were shifted to Gandhi hospital Hyderabad in a critical condition.

Further investigation on the matter is underway and the case has been registered.
