Seasoned defender Amit Rohidas says that the biggest challenge for the Indian men's hockey team going forward is to maintain their winning streak in the Europe leg of the ongoing FIH Pro League. India are currently at the top of the FIH Pro League table with 19 points from 8 matches after finishing third last season. Last month in Rourkela, India was invincible against world champions Germany and Australia, performing brilliantly.

India will now travel to Europe in May and June, where the team will play Argentina in Eindhoven and host the Netherlands after taking on Belgium and Great Britain in London. Rohidas, last time we finished third in the league, We have generally done well at home in the FIH Hockey Pro League, but the challenge comes when we play abroad, and this time our goal is to continue the winning streak in Europe. India's 39-member core group is currently participating in the national camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre here.

After the week-long tour of Europe in June, the Indian team will return home to prepare for the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Chennai from August 3 to 12. After this, the Hangzhou Asian Games are going to be held. Rohidas has spoken, leaving no doubt that it is going to be an exciting time for hockey as major tournaments are around the corner. After the Asian Games, we start the next season of the Pro League and then the Hockey Fives World Cup, so there are going to be a lot of hockey tournaments until the Paris Olympics.
