Rajeshwari, who is in the telivision industry for a long time now and has been part of shows like Jamai Raja, Tujhse Hai Raabta, and Vidrohi and her boyfriend, Rohit, who is currently seen in Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey are going strong for 14 years. Actors Rajeshwari and Rohit are all set to tie the knot on July 18 in Mumbai. Interestingly, the duo had originally planned to get married in the year 2020, but the lockdown played spoilsport then. Rohit says, “Our parents were supposed to meet in March 2020 to finalise the date for the wedding in the same year. Unfortunately, everything went for a toss and we had to suspend the plan due to the pandemic, and the restrictions implemented. Finally, we are getting married on July 18.”
Rajeshwar adds, “Rohit’s parents wanted us to tie the knot in his hometown, Shimla. However, since we are busy with our respective shoots for the shows, we couldn’t afford to take a long leave for the wedding. We decided not to postpone the it any further and hence, all the rituals and traditions will be performed in Mumbai.”
The couple met during a brand shoot over a decade ago. A few months of friendship soon blossomed into love. Rohit shares, “A photographer cast us as a couple for a print shoot. We got along like a house on fire and became great friends. We kept in touch post the shoot and continued to meet. A few months later, we realized that the bond we shared was more than just friendship. I finally found the courage to propose to her and got lucky, as she accepted it with honesty and a beautiful smile.”
When they were questioned about their honeymoon plans to which the actress replies, “Rohit and I absolutely love mountains, greenery, and nature. So, we are planning to explore Himachal together for our honeymoon. I couldn’t have asked for a better company than Rohit to visit a place that’s been on my bucket list for so many years.”
