Now preparations have been made to make it 25 lakh rupees. This will be announced soon by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Apart from this, the prize money of the prestigious Arjuna Award is going to be 3 times more than before. Now, five lakh rupees are given to the players for this award, but preparations have been made to increase this amount to 15 lakh rupees. It was also being said that the prize money of the National Sports Awards is less. The ministry also understood this and prepared a proposal to increase the amount.
