The Big Dog Roman Reigns defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW; and despite having the upper hand on the latter, Reigns proceeded to ignore the referee’s count to break up the attack, and kept striking Joe against the ring apron. Last week Dean Ambrose suffered elbow injury which need nearly nine month to recover.

Referee John Cone attempted to stop Reigns’ vicious attack on Joe, however, the Big Dog simply shoved the referee aside and continued his beat-down of Joe; following which the match was called off, awarding Joe the victory by way of Disqualification (DQ).

Nevertheless, Reigns retained his IC title as the belt cannot change hands by way of DQ unless specially stipulated as such. The WWE higher-ups seem to have fined Reigns as the latter shoved a WWE official.

Per the announcement made by the WWE, Reigns has been fined $5,000 owing to the fact that he shoved WWE referee John Cone during his IC title match against Samoa Joe. Fans can expect Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe to continue their feud in the days to come. Meanwhile, following his DQ loss to Joe, Reigns has attributed his mid-match outburst to Joe attacking his Shield-brother Dean Ambrose—
