Jammu and Kashmir: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will visit Jammu and kashmir in the first week of October, 2021, according to reports.

As per details derived from the source, Mr Bhagwat, as per scheduled program, may visit here on a three-day visit from October 1-3. "The confirmation about the scheduled visit will also be officially announced in a few days." They said that this will be the first visit of Mr Bhagwat to Jammu after the revocation of special status (Article 370) of erstwhile J&K State on August 5, 2019.  Mr Bhagwat will outline the stand of RSS after Article 370 revocation and will also review the organisational activities.

The RSS chief will meet pracharaks and heads of RSS affiliates working in Jammu and take stock of the changed situation on the ground. Information from the Source read: "We focus on society and its concerns and this visit is significant in light of the improved situation in the Union Territory. A stocktaking of activities will also be done."

In August 2019, the Centre abrogated Article 370 of the Iindian Constitution that gave special status to the erstwhile state of J&K and bifurcated the region into two territories- Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
