Russia flew two reconnaissance airplanes flying over the Black Sea via its fighter jet Sukhoi-27. According to the media report, quoting the Russian Ministry of Defense has told that the incident happened on August 12. After the reconnaissance of American reconnaissance planes, the Russian jet also returned to its hideout. There is a possibility of tension between the two countries due to this incident.

On 12 August, Russian airspace control systems detected two aircraft approaching the Russian border in the waters of the Black Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda Broadcasting Service said, "Subsequently, a SU-27 fighter jet in the Southern Military District of Russia was sent to intercept these reconnaissance aircraft. A Su-27 aircraft from Russia flew and drove the American planes back. The Su-27 fighter aircraft later returned safely."

The Russian fighter jet crew identified the strategic reconnaissance aircraft RC-135 of the US Air Force, the P-8 position of the US Navy patrol aircraft. According to media reports, Russian fighter jets have intercepted American reconnaissance planes over the Black Sea several times in the last few weeks. This has created a new tension in the area. Recently, the US had decided to reduce the number of its troops deployed in Germany by one-third. Trump has decided to recall 12 thousand out of a total of 36 thousand American soldiers stationed in Germany. Apart from this, the media had told in their report that in view of the challenge of Russia, six thousand of these will be deployed at a military base in Europe. It is also evident from this exercise that the relationship between Russia and America is not special.
