New Delhi: After meeting the Foreign Minister of China, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that we had talks for three hours. In this we discussed many aspects including bilateral issues. Also, we talked about the LAC matter. s. Jaishankar had a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Friday. During this, there were serious discussions between the two on many issues including the geopolitical turmoil arising out of the Eastern Ladakh dispute and the Ukraine crisis.

After the meeting with the Chinese counterpart, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told the press that, 'My conversation with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has just ended. We discussed for almost 3 hours and addressed a broad core agenda in an open and candid manner. We discussed our bilateral relations, which were disrupted as a result of Chinese actions since April 2020.

Regarding maintaining peace on the border, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, 'I would call the current situation a 'work in progress'. Although it is happening at a slow pace. This needs to be taken forward, as it is necessary for disengaging (at LAC). To maintain peace and stability along the border, it has been decided to move it forward at a slightly faster pace. He said, 'I spoke openly. Stated the position of India. Nothing less than peace on the border will be acceptable.
