Melbourne: A bushfire charity match to raise funds for bushfire victims in Australia was played on Sunday (9 February). In this match, Sachin Tendulkar completed the challenge of Australian women's cricket team all-rounder and world number one female bowler Alice Parry. Sachin Tendulkar came to bat an over in the middle of the match and hit a four off the first ball.
A day before this match, Alice Parry had challenged Sachin Tendulkar to play his ball on social media. Sachin accepted Parry's challenge and came down to play an over today. Earlier, Alice Parry wrote on social media that, "Sachin can you face me one over." To this, Tendulkar immediately replied that yes, I will do it at all, although the doctor has refused to do something like that due to a shoulder injury, I will still play an over in the field.
Sachin had said that I hope we will collect enough money for the bushfire victims with this noble cause and you can also get me out. After this, Sachin fulfilled this wish of Parry and put an over batting in the middle of the match. Sachin hit Parry's first ball. Let us tell you that Sachin retired from cricket on 16 November 2013 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Now Sachin has returned to the ground after five and a half years.
