Dehradun: A shameful incident has come to light in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, in which a sadhvi mother handed over her daughter to a monk. The Haridwar Kotwali police arrested the criminal mother and the sadhu, raising the curtain from the case. The criminals were sent to jail after being produced in court. A Sadhvi originally from Morigaon, Deusal Jagiroad district of Assam had filed a complaint in Assam.

It was alleged that people belonging to a spiritual organization in Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh had taken her daughter with them from Haridwar. where her daughter was raped. The Assam Police had shifted the investigation here as the incident site was from Haridwar. When Haridwar police contacted Rajesh Shukla, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad, the named criminal, Rajesh Shukla, then the matter turned out to be different. When the girl also told the reality to the police, then once again the police were also stunned. The police brought the girl here and completed a statement in court. 

Kotwali in-charge Rakendra Singh Kathait said that the girl was living with her sadhvi mother at Shankar Ashram Jwalapur near Subhashnagar street number five here. Her mother used to visit her mother's sadhu Krishnamurari resident Sri Vrindavan Dham, near Patialawala's Dharamshala, Ranigali Bhupatwala, she used to take her daughter to the ashram too. According to the police, while staying in the ashram, the criminal monk raped her daughter several times, when the daughter narrated her ordeal to the mother, the mother advised her to keep quiet. When the daughter protested, they sent her to live in a spiritual institution in Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad, where the girl told her story. When the officials of the spiritual organization told the sadhu, then he along with the victim's mother reached Assam and filed a false case. The Kotwal said that the Sadhvi was greedy that the sadhu would hand over his ashram to her, In her wish, she did not object to the rape of her daughter. He said that both have been arrested and sent to jail.
