Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has signed India's first 3D horror comedy franchise film, Bhoot Police, which also features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ali Fazal in key roles. Film will be helmed by Pavan Kirpalani, who is known for directing thrillers like Phobia and Ragini MMS.

Looking at the title and the first look of the film, it seems that the lead cast will play ghost hunters in the film. Talking about the film director Pavan said, “This is a story I've been living with for a very long time. Couldn't have found better collaborators than Saif, Ali, Fatima and most importantly Fox Star to bring this to life. This is going to be a fun, spooky ride!”

Bhoot Police is Presented and produced by Fox Star Studios and written by Pavan Kirpalani, Anuvab Pal, Sumit Batheja and Pooja Ladha Surti. The film is set to go on floors in August this year.

On the work front. Meanwhile, Saif is currently shooting for Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero.  On the other hand, Fatima Sana Shaikh will be next seen in an Anurag Basu's untitled venture, which has the stellar cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi.
