New Delhi: The exclusion of Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia from the Asian Games trials by the Indian Olympic Association's Adhoc Committee has drawn criticism from Olympic medallist wrestler Sakshi Malik.

Like Bajrang and Vinesh, Sakshi Malik has made it clear that she will not compete in the Asian Games before giving it a try. He said that the government had broken the wrestlers' solidarity.

We had asked the government for time to get ready for the Asian Games, Sakshi Malik stated in a video. The government offered us time when we requested that our trials take place after August 10 in our statement. So, for training, we went outside.

However, it was discovered three to four days ago that direct entries are being sent in two weight categories. I also heard that you ought to mail. I'll consider you.

I resisted saying that I would not face hardships. We merely requested a vacation. All I'm trying to convey is that everyone deserves justice.

Sakshi also made a tweet after this. In this he wrote, “The government has done the work of breaking the unity of the wrestlers by sending their names directly to the Asian Games. I have never gone to play without trial nor do I support it. I am disturbed by this intention of the government. We had talked about extending the date of trials, but the government has put this defamation in our pocket.”
