New Delhi: Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid on Saturday said that the Congress will fight the UP assembly elections with the CM's face. He said Priyanka Gandhi is above the CM face and will announce the Congress CM contender in due time. Congress has started work for its election manifesto. It can be understood that Congress is not allying with anyone.  Khurshid had come to Kanpur on Saturday to interact with people before preparing a Congress manifesto in the UP assembly elections.

Talking to the press at kamleshwaram guest house, Khurshid, who accompanied Congress spokesperson Supriya Sreenat, said the Congress is gearing up to prepare a manifesto focusing on issues like education, employment, security, future of women and children, and finding new opportunities for farmers. Health is also an issue, but a separate letter will be brought on it. After Bahraich, discussions have been held with institutions and people in Kanpur. The Congress Election Manifesto Committee in Lucknow will now discuss with all parties and submit the report to Priyanka Gandhi.

Khurshid said Congress has sought a report on the early completion of the manifesto to his team. Last time an alliance was formed with the SP, but the people rejected it. This time it will not happen. He said the reports about conversions are disturbing. If India has to become a world guru, then first the future generation has to give the right direction. The government is acting like a stone-hearted man. Listening has been removed from his book.
