Lucknow: The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly begins today. Earlier, the main opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) had surrounded the Yogi Adityanath government on matters of law, order, and inflation. All MLAs and MLCs led by party national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav are taking out a foot march from the party office to Vidhan Bhawan.

At the same time, the police stopped the journey by barricading. After this, Akhilesh Yadav sat on a dharna with the MLAs on the road. After the police stopped the SP's march, Akhilesh Yadav along with his MLAs started staging a dharna on the road. He said that they will run the dummy house on the road itself and since it is the first day of the House, a tribute meeting will be organized on the road itself. Apart from Akhilesh Yadav, senior leader Ram Govind Chaudhary along with his accompanying workers are staging a dharna on a separate road.  

At the same time, political rhetoric also intensified as soon as the Samajwadi Party's foot march started. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is protesting by naming the march as not an issue related to the interests of the people. Any public issue should be discussed in the House, which should be included in the proceedings. Discussions are welcomed by the Government.
