Lucknow: In the aftermath of a road accident that led to controversy and violence in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, a tragic incident has resulted in the death of a Muslim youth, triggering widespread outrage and political involvement. MP ST Hasan from the Samajwadi Party, representing Moradabad, has made contentious and provocative statements that have further fueled the controversy. He made a statement, Threatning Hindus Said, "The Muslim population in the country is not merely 2-4 lakh but in the crores. The potential consequences of ongoing behavior are easily foreseeable."

Hasan expressed concern about the escalating Hindu-Muslim tensions in the country, emphasizing that there are not merely 2-4 lakh Muslims but crores in India. He alleged that the BJP is contributing to divisive Hindu-Muslim politics, using even minor incidents such as a bike collision as opportunities to exacerbate communal conflicts. Hasan questioned the direction in which the nation is headed, holding political parties responsible for utilizing religion to further their agendas. He asserted that the BJP's intense focus on Hindu-Muslim issues is leading to the dangerous escalation of even minor disputes, placing blame on the state of politics in the country.

Hasan emphasized that the political discourse should prioritize crucial issues like employment rather than centering around Hindu-Muslim tensions. He warned of potential repercussions if the needs and concerns of the Muslim community are overlooked. Hasan stressed that the country is home to not just 2-3 lakh Muslims but crores of them, highlighting the importance of treating the community with fairness and respect to prevent serious future consequences. He believed that the public could easily understand the implications of mistreating any community.

The MP drew attention to the persistent issue of mob lynching, attributing it to individuals who often enjoy public platforms and are sometimes honored with garlands. According to Hasan, these individuals act with impunity, believing they will face no consequences for their actions. Hasan also cited recent inflammatory remarks made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri against BSP MP Danish Ali as an example of individuals receiving undue recognition and status.

The incident in Jaipur unfolded during the night when two motorcycles had a minor collision in the Subhash Chowk area. The situation escalated when both riders exchanged verbal abuses and called for assistance from their respective communities. An elderly man present at the scene attempted to mediate and urged them to cease hostilities. However, one of the individuals, identified as Iqbal, continued to engage aggressively and verbally abused those trying to mediate. When Iqbal persisted in his aggressive behavior, bystanders intervened and apprehended him, while the other biker fled the scene.

Subsequently, the situation escalated into violence, with individuals allegedly beating Iqbal with sticks and rods, inflicting severe injuries to his legs and head. Iqbal was left bleeding and was rushed to Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital for treatment, where he tragically passed away.

Relatives of Iqbal have alleged foul play and claimed that he was fatally struck on the head with a rod. However, they have refused to grant permission for a post-mortem examination.

Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, collecting evidence from the scene and securing Iqbal's motorcycle at the police station. SHO Suresh Singh Khatik confirmed the murder of Iqbal, an 18-year-old resident of Phuta Khurra Ramganj in Jaipur. The collision and subsequent altercation occurred around 10:45 pm as Iqbal was returning home from Jaisinghpura Khor. His motorcycle collided with another bike in the Gangapol market, leading to a dispute over the collision. The incident has raised concerns about the state of communal tensions and violence in the country, igniting a debate about the role of politics and the need for peaceful coexistence among diverse communities.
