Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh has decided to re-start the 'Sambal Yojana'. For this, they have also issued instructions to the officials. Shivraj Singh Chauhan started the Sambal Yojana just before the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections in the year 2018. Under this scheme, there was a provision to waive old electricity bills of those living below the poverty line and provide electricity at the rate of 200 rupees per month.

But after the defeat of BJP in the assembly elections, this ambitious plan of Shivraj Singh Chauhan was also stopped. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress came to power after a long gap of 15 years under Kamal Nath's leadership. Kamal Nath stopped the plan. Kamal Nath's government could last only 15 months. Under the leadership of Jyotiraditya Scindia, 22 rebel Congress MLAs revolted with the Kamal Nath government.

On March 20, Kamal Nath resigned from the post of CM after his government came in minority. Shivraj Singh Chauhan was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the fourth time on 25 March. Now Shivraj Singh Chauhan has started implementing his plans again. In a meeting with officials on Monday, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that he will not allow the poor to be ignored.
