Maharashtra: Politics is happening in Maharashtra at this time to rename Aurangabad city to Sambhajinagar. Shiv Sena's campaign is going on here and now it has been promoted by BJP. Recently, State BJP President Chandrakant Patil has talked about the name of Aurangabad city.

In a statement on Monday, he said that the decision to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar is acceptable. If his party comes to power after the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections, it will pass a resolution in this regard. Shiv Sena had said this thing first. Shiv Sena wants the city of Aurangabad in Maharashtra to be renamed Sambhajinagar.

Shiv Sena Chief Late. Bal Thackeray had sought to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar in 1988, three decades ago. A resolution in this regard was passed in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation in June 1995, which was later challenged by a Congress councillor in the High Court and then the Supreme Court. After all this, this demand had cooled down but now once again this demand has caught fire.
