MUMBAI: The Shiv Sena, which had been the loud voice of the Ayodhya Ram temple movement at a time, today has taken a different approach towards temple construction. Shiv Sena Chief Strategist and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has said that this is not the time to look at issues like Ram temple and India-Pakistan, but to fight the Coronavirus.
Shiv Sena MP Raut further said, 'Our entire focus is on the battle with Corona. There are many people to see the remains which will be found during the excavation. Right now the issues like Ram temple, India and Pakistan should be kept separate. Right now the biggest crisis facing the country is the coronavirus and we should be focused on it. Let us tell you that Shiv Sena had joined hands with Congress after leaving its old partner BJP a few months ago and formed the government in Maharashtra, since then Shiv Sena's tone has changed.
The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has started again after being closed for a few days due to lockdown. The land of the birthplace for the temple is being leveled. During the leveling on Wednesday, several statues, antiquities and mythological remains have emerged from the ground which points that earlier there was a temple.
