Bhiwani: Sangeeta Phogat, the third-ranked wrestler in the Asian and International wrestling, will be tied in a marriage bond with world number one wrestler Bajrang Punia. Sangeeta has been the national champion in the 59 kg category. The relationship between the two wrestlers has been cleared by their families. The two are expected to get married after the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Sangeeta's elder sister Babita Phogat has also decided to marry wrestler Vivek Suhag.
While Bajrang is currently gearing up for the Olympics, Sangeeta is currently in the national camp and recovering from injury. The details of their marriage have been confirmed by Sangeeta's father and coach Mahavir Phogat. The Phogat sisters had come together on the mat at the 2017 Commonwealth Games, which included Geeta Phogat, Ritu Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat, three sisters-in-law and her cousin Vinesh Phogat of Balali village of Charkhi Dadri, known as the Phogat sisters.
Geeta and Vinesh are already married. The Arjuna Awardee and the father of the Phogat sisters, Mahabir Wrestler, accepted Sangeeta and Bajrang's relationship and said there is a better relationship between the two families. He said, "I am happy for the children and respect their feelings. The Phogat family has also made a film called Dangal.
