Former India cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar said that he believes Team India's dynamics can change in the lead up to next year's T20 World Cup, considering there will be 2 Indian Premier League (IPL) editions before the global tournament. Sanjay Manjrekar said even some of the established names in the Indian squad will be challenged by players who manage to grab the limelight in the upcoming IPL editions.

Lanka Premier League teams announced, will be similar to IPL team

IPL 2020, which was initially postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, is all set to be held from September 19 to November 10 in the UAE. 4 months after IPL 2020, the 13th edition of the T20 league will be played in April-May in 2021, provided the pandemic eases and normalcy returns in the sporting world. "The last time we saw the Indian T20 team it looked a certain way but there is going to be at least 2 IPLs I think before the next T20 World Cup. So you will have a lot of these performances coming and changing the dynamics a little bit," Manjrekar told a leading media house.

Muralitharan said this about Mahi's captaincy

"People who feel cemented or established in the team, will all be challenged. It will be wonderful to watch people like Rahul who at the moment looks a certainty." Manjrekar is also keen on following MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant's performances in the IPL as selection debates are expected to continue in the lead up to the World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced earlier this month that the T20 World Cup in 2021 will be held in India between October and November.
