Mumbai: With the new developments in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which is considered to be the most powerful party in Maharashtra, the phase of rhetoric by the political leaders of the state has begun. In this sequence, the statement of senior leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has come to the fore.
Reacting to Sharad Pawar's resignation, senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut has said that Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray had also resigned from the post of Shiv Sena chief after being disturbed by dirty politics. Along with this, Sanjay Raut compared Sharad Pawar to Balasaheb Thackeray and said that history is repeating itself. It was because of the love of Shiv Sainiks that Balasaheb Thackeray had withdrawn his decision. He said that like Balasaheb, Sharad Pawar is also the soul of Maharashtra politics.
Sanjay Raut has good relations with Sharad Pawar. He often remains in headlines by making statements on various issues in the media. A few days back he had given a statement that there is a possibility of a split in the NCP. He had claimed that Pawar had told him that some people were pressurizing him to change ranks in the party. After this many speculations had started.
