New Delhi: Before the final of the World Test Championship (WTC), Team India has reached the top position in the ICC Test rankings. India, who have been holding the position of the number one Test team for the last 15 months, has pushed Australia to the second position. This is a big achievement for Team India ahead of the WTC finals. Let us tell you that the final of WTC is also going to be played between India and Australia at the Oval in London between June 7-11.

In the ICC Test rankings, Team India is now on top with a rating of 121, while the Australian team has slipped to the second spot with a rating of 116. England is third with 114 ratings and South Africa is fourth with 104 ratings. The New Zealand team is at number 5. Pakistan is at 6th position, while Sri Lanka is at 7th position. West Indies is at 8th and Bangladesh at 9th position. Zimbabwe is at the 10th position at the end.

The ICC has placed India at number one in the annual rankings update released on Monday (May 1). This change has come due to the last few matches. Australia remained at the top after a 1–2 series loss to India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but the rankings have now changed based on the results of that series.
