'Delhi wants to ruin Shiv Sena..,' Sanjay Raut again hits out at Centre

Mumbai: Ever since Maharashtra lost power, Uddhav Thackeray-led shiv sena has been continuously attacking the Modi government at the centre. In the same vein, senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has once again attacked the Central government. He said that Balasaheb Thackeray had founded Shiv Sena 56 years ago keeping in mind Hindutva. Now, the Election Commission is questioning it. It is extremely shocking for the people of Maharashtra.

It may be recalled that Sanjay Raut's reaction came in the wake of the Election Commission's order seeking documents from Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray factions to prove the majority of leaders in the Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray is the only leader of Shiv Sena today. He said "The Delhi (central government) wants to ruin our party.''

To find out the real Shiv Sena, the Election Commission has sought documents from both sides under paragraph 15 of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968. Earlier, the Shinde faction had written to the Election Commission demanding that the Shiv Sena's symbol, a bow and arrow, be given to his faction. Behind this, he has based his numbers on the Lok Sabha and the Maharashtra Assembly.
