Mumbai: The dates for assembly elections in Bihar have been announced. Meanwhile, senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said Bihar assembly elections should be fought on issues of development and law and order. He quipped that if there is a lack of issue, it can be sent from Mumbai.
The Shiv Sena leader said, "Elections in Bihar should be fought on issues of development, law and order, and good governance, but if these issues are over, the issues from Mumbai can be sent as parcels." Sanjay Raut is targeted by bihar's ruling NDA, with JDU and BJP in a big role. Earlier, after announcing the dates of the election, he questioned on Friday whether it was right to conduct assembly elections in Bihar amidst the coronavirus in the country? He had said that the epidemic had caused a situation in the country, which was never before. He questioned, "Is the coronavirus now over? Is the situation right for holding elections?"
Sanjay Raut had said that the farm bills passed by Parliament would not affect the Bihar elections as voting would take place only on the basis of caste and religion in the state. On the question of Sushant Singh Rajput's death in Bihar elections, the Shiv Sena MP alleged, "The government has nothing to speak about development or good governance."
