Kochi: Solar scam charged Saritha S Nair has contacted the Kerala high court seeking a CBI probe into the cheating case linking quarry owner Sreedharan Nair.

Saritha plead in her petition that she was also a victim and not an accused as investments were made on the personal assurance given by CM Oommen Chandy.

She also added, she had introduced Nair to the CM, who assured him that Saritha's company Team Solar would be allotted land and there was no impediment in investing in the project.

“Nair had invested Rs 40 lakh upon this assurance,”she said.

However, Saritha fastened to her allegation that she had given Rs 5 lakh as party fund to Thrikkakara MLA Benny Behanan amid her cross-examination before the judicial commission on Monday.
She said,"He was my neighbour in Kakkanad from 2012. He used to come to my house and had called me umpteen times, before my arrest, for party fund. He made me believe that he was calling me at the behest of the chief minister. He had contacted me many times after I was released from jail. He had promised to get things done with the help of the chief minister,"
The police association office-bearers, meanwhile, filed a plea seeking further probe into her statement that she had given money to the association for publication of its souvenir.
