In the midst of the ongoing political upheaval in Rajasthan, State BJP President Satish Poonia met senior party leaders. Earlier, the party said that floor test is not necessary at the moment. Vasundhara Raje is expected to reach Rajasthan today.
According to the media report, Gulab Chand Kataria, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly, has told about the floor test that the need is not felt right now. If it will be needed, then the party (BJP) will sit together and decide. Kataria said that "We had fixed the time of our (BJP) meeting based on Sachin Pilot's press conference. But now it has been cancelled. I have told Vasundhara Raje that she should try to reach here.
Congress is planning to expel 19 MLAs including Pilot. Following the party's complaint, the Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly has issued summons to former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and 18 other rebel Congress MLAs. This summons has been issued by the MLAs for violating the whip and not attending the meetings of the Congress Legislature Party sponsored on Monday and Tuesday. They have been asked to respond to the summons by Friday. The summons was issued on Tuesday against the media report.
