New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chief Sourav Ganguly has been discharged from the hospital in Kolkata on Thursday. After coming out of the hospital, he also spoke to the media. Ganguly said that he is healthy now and will return soon. 48-year-old Sourav Ganguly was undergoing treatment at Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata. He was admitted on Saturday after suffering from a mild heart attack. Now his health will be monitored at home.
On being discharged from the hospital, Ganguly said, 'We come to the hospital to save our lives. This proved to be true I thank Woodlands Hospital and all the doctors for excellent care. I am very healthy. Hope to return soon'. Sourav Ganguly underwent angioplasty on Saturday. According to the hospital, the next angioplasty for the remaining blockages in Ganguly's heart vein will be decided later, as he is much better than before.
Earlier, renowned cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty had said, 'Sourav Ganguly is fit and now he can return to normal life as he was before'. He can be discharged from the hospital.
