Bhopal: Medical professionals in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal are to conclude their 'Chikitsak Sampark Yatra' on Tuesday and will take a decision regarding the work shutdown.
The future of their movement will be decided by all of these doctors after the "Chikitsak Sampark Yatra" is over.
Since January 27th, doctors have been protesting in Madhya Pradesh demanding the implementation of the DACP, the restoration of the previous pension, and other problems.
This movement was formed in support of the central government's DACP policy, the restitution of previous pensions, and the intervention of administrative officers in medical practise. This campaign has included medical professionals from the departments of medical education, health, homes, and petrol relief. This group was founded by seven medical associations working together.
The "Chikitsa Bachao Chikitsa Bachao Sampark Yatra" organised by the Madhya Pradesh Government and Autonomous Doctors Federation began on January 27, 2023, in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. The yatra arrived in Bhopal at 11 am on Tuesday after travelling more than 5000 kilometres across 38 districts of the state and 13 government medical colleges.
The purpose of the visit is clear, to guage the medical level of the state and to get to the root of the basic issues of the doctors, said Madhya Pradesh Government / Autonomous Medical Association in a press release.
It further said that there will be a sizable meeting of all the physicians in the state at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal starting at noon. Following this, a symbolic rally will be held peacefully.
