Lucknow: The growing resentment between Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar is hinting at the break-up of the alliance between the two parties. Meanwhile, Rajbhar on Monday said that he wants to meet Akhilesh Yadav.

Rajbhar said that on Sunday, he spoke to the SP leader and Akhilesh's close aide Udaiveer Singh over the phone and apprised him of his intention to meet and talk to him. He said he will meet Akhilesh and ask him why he was not invited to the programme of Yashwant Sinha, the presidential candidate of the opposition parties. Let me tell you that the election for the post of president is going to be held on July 18.

There is confusion over the role of SBSP in the voting as the party president is yet to open his cards. Meanwhile, speculations of Rajbhar's proximity to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have started doing the rounds and there is also speculation that Rajbhar may be away from the SP. On Monday, Rajbhar met Dayashankar Singh, minister of state (independent charge) for transport in the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government and offered his condolences on the demise of his father.
