The two authorities had found themselves helpless in taking any action like cancellation of lease agreement on Amrapali due to political pressure and in view of the interests of home buyers. The Supreme Court's tough stand has raised hopes among buyers that the Supreme Court can give an important direction on this day. The court also has to give a separate verdict in the Amrapali case.
