NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will pronounce its verdict today on the case of 42000 home buyers associated with the Amrapali project. A bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra is hearing the case. The court will decide who will complete the stuck project of Amrapali Group. The apex court had on May 10 reserved its verdict in the case after The Noida and Greater Noida authorities raised their hands on lack of resources in completing the unfinished projects.
The two authorities had found themselves helpless in taking any action like cancellation of lease agreement on Amrapali due to political pressure and in view of the interests of home buyers. The Supreme Court's tough stand has raised hopes among buyers that the Supreme Court can give an important direction on this day. The court also has to give a separate verdict in the Amrapali case.
The Supreme Court has directed the central government to make a proposal in the interest of buyers. This has been asked to solve the problem of buyers. Now, the concerned Ministry of the Central Government is drafting the proposal. This will let buyers know what solution plan the Centre has devised for them. This will decide the future of all projects including Amrapali and Jaypee.
