Visakhapatnam: Today (Sunday) on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the country is going to get the gift of another Vande Bharat Express train. On 15 January 2023, PM Narendra Modi will flag off the eighth Vande Bharat train. This Vande Bharat Express train will run from Secunderabad in Telangana to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. According to official information, the country's eighth Vande Bharat Express train will run from Secunderabad in Telangana to the coastal city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Which will cover a distance of about 700 kilometers in 8 hours. It will stop at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Warangal in both directions. Please inform that this will be the second Vande Bharat train of South India and the eighth Vande Bharat train of the country. South India's first Vande Bharat train is running between Mysuru to Chennai.

The country's 8th Vande Bharat train will leave Visakhapatnam at 5.45 am and reach Secunderabad at 14.15 pm. In return, it will leave Secunderabad at 14.45 hrs and reach Visakhapatnam at 23.15 hrs. This train will cover a distance of about 700 kilometers in just 8 hours. This is the first Vande Bharat train connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Let us inform you that the country's first Vande Bharat Express was started in 2019 from New Delhi to Varanasi. The government has planned to run 75 Vande Bharat Express across the country on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.

Vande Bharat train is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These have all facilities including a GPS-based information system, CCTV cameras, vacuum-based bio-toilet, and automatic sliding door. Equipped with new features, the next generation Vande Bharat 2.0 train has the facility of Kavach (Train Collision Avoidance System).
