TELENGANA: The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express was launched today  by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The newest Vande Bharat trains would cut the distance between the two cities' travel times by about  three and a half hours, which will especially help pilgrims from both Telugu states.

This is the first Vande Bharat Express of India that connects Tirupati, a city in Andhra Pradesh that is home to numerous old temples as well as the significant Hindu shrine of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The 13th Vande Bharat Express in India will travel between Secunderabad in Telangana and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad, an IT hub, and Tirupati are connected by a new semi-high speed train. Within a three-month period, Telangana has been the starting point for a second Vande Bharat train.
Earlier, PM Modi launched India's eighth Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam in January.

The opening of the train on the new route comes one week after the Prime Minister flagged off the latest Vande Bharat on the Bhopal-New Delhi route.

While travelling the 660 kilometres between the cities, the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express makes stops at Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole, and Nellore stations.

The commute between the two cities will be shortened by about three and a half hours thanks to the train. Furthermore, the train touches in 52 seconds or less when travelling at 100 kmph. The brand-new Vande Bharat Express has hoover toilets, power backup, Surveillance cameras and GPS-based information systems.

Moreover, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the renovation of Secunderabad Railway Station.
For those travelling from Hyderabad to the holy destination of Tirupati, the train will provide a smooth journey.

The Secunderabad to Tirupati Vande Bharat will leave at six in the morning and arrive in Tirupati at two in the afternoon. Compared to the 12 hours most existing services require, the train will travel the entire journey in 8 hours and 30 minutes.

It's important to remember that the self-propelled, semi-high speed Vande Bharat Train is an indigenously produced train set. Modern passenger amenities are present on the train. It will make rail users' travel experiences faster, cosier, and more convenient.

Vande Bharat 2.0 has further improvements and innovations, including the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 52 seconds as opposed to 129 seconds to reach 160 kph and a top speed of up to 180 kph.

In comparison to the previous version's 430 tonnes, the enhanced Vande Bharat Express will weigh 392 tonnes. Moreover, it will feature an on-demand Wi-Fi content facility. The number of passenger information and entertainment screens on each coach has increased from 24 to 32 from the previous iteration.

Due to the ACs' 15% greater energy efficiency, Vande Bharat Express will also be environmentally beneficial. Travel will be more comfortable thanks to the traction motor's clean, dust-free cooling system. All classes will now have access to a side recliner seat feature that was previously only offered to Executive Class guests. 180-degree rotating chairs are an added bonus on executive coaches.

A photo-catalytic UV air purification system is incorporated in the Roof-Mounted Package Unit (RMPU) in the new Vande Bharat Express design to purify the air. This system is built and placed on both ends of the RMPU, as advised by the Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh, to filter and clean the air free from contaminants like as bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms coming through fresh air and return air.

The Vande Bharat Express 2.0 provides a number of exceptional and aircraft-like travel experiences. It has advanced, modern safety features, like the KAVACH Train Collision Avoidance System.
