Jammu: Security forces have been successful against the terrorists. On Tuesday, security forces killed two militants in an encounter in the Sugan area of Shopian. The operation of the security forces is still going on. Police of Kashmir zone said in a tweet that information about the hiding of terrorists was revealed in Sugan village. After which the security forces started their search operation on Tuesday evening. The security forces asked the militants to surrender but they were not ready. Police say a search operation is still going on in the area.

In Ganderbal in Nunar district, the terrorists tried to target a BJP worker but due to the promptness of the security personnel, the terrorists could not succeed in their plans. The security personnel killed a terrorist while a security man died. On Monday, militants opened fire on CRPF personnel on the outskirts of Srinagar. Two soldiers martyred in this incident while 3 others were injured.

Regarding the attack on CRPF in the Naugam area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, Jammu and Kashmir Police said that Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the attack. Inspector-General of Police of Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said, "We have identified the terrorists who are behind this attack. He is a LeT terrorist and is led by Saifullah. We are doing our work and they will be arrested soon".
