Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has made Seema Kushwaha, the lawyer in the Nirbhaya case, the party's national spokesperson. A letter issued by BSP national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra said party supremo Mayawati has made Seema Kushwaha the national spokesperson of the BSP to defend the party.

Let us know that on January 20, Seema Kushwaha had stopped the BSP. Satish Chandra Mishra had made him join the party. At that time, there was a possibility that Seema might enter the electoral fray from an assembly seat. Seema Kushwaha is a resident of Etawah in UP. She was the advocate of the victim's side in the Nirbhaya case of Delhi and had fought the battle for law and brought the nirbhaya convicts to the gallows. Kushwaha, who is a vocal advocate for women's rights, had played a key role in getting justice for the aggrieved party in the Nirbhaya case by lobbying from the lower court to the Supreme Court. 

Seema Kushwaha is a fast-paced woman lawyer as well as active in public service. They have a considerable hold in the Maurya, Shakya, Kushwaha communities in western UP, Etawah, Bundelkhand region. Seema Kushwaha may also get further responsibilities like the Women's Conference on the party's side.
