New Delhi: The Indian cricket team will go to the Caribbean islands for a Test series after four-years. Team India will come in the West Indies for a lengthy series slated for July and August under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Two Test matches will be played in Trinidad and Dominica to start the series.
The Test team has undergone considerable changes as a result of the selectors' attempt to concentrate on future potential. Suryakumar Yadav and Sarfaraz Khan did not make it into India's Test squad for the tour, while veterans like Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav were omitted from the team.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra is surpized by Suryakumar Yadav's exclusion from India's Test squad for the forthcoming West Indies tour.
On June 23, the Indian selectors released the lineup for the three One-Day Internationals and two Test matches against the West Indies. Suryakumar Yadav was surprisingly passed over for the lengthier version of the game after being chosen for the ODI team.
Aakash Chopra recently posted a video on his Youtube Channel where he questioned the approach from the selection committee for dropping Suryakumar Yadav from the red-ball line-up.

“Suryakumar Yadav, who was part of the team for the WTC final, is not part of the West Indies Test team and that leaves you slightly befuddled that why did they do that. He played only one Test before this, so why was he a part of the team for the WTC final?”
Along with Suryakumar Yadav's absence, Aakash Chopra discussed how India's squad lacked quality bowlers across all formats, with players like Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav being rested or benched.
“Shardul Thakur is a part of both teams. Jaydev Unadkat is actually a part of both teams and Arshdeep Singh is not part of any of the teams. Mohammad Shami is also not there. He might have probably been rested. Mukesh Kumar is interestingly part of both teams. Umran Malik is a part of the ODI team but not the Test team. Navdeep Saini has been kept in the Test team, he has not been kept in the ODI team. I feel the rest of the fast-bowling contenders are not fully fit.”
