Hyderabad: A case of immoral policing act revealed here at Hyderabad on Sunday night after a senior woman cop was caught red-handed by her NRI husband with another junior rank policeman at their resident.
Incident reported at Kukatpally locality and both the cops were suspended from their job.
As per the reports, Sunitha Reddy, an additional superintendent of police with anti-corruption bureau (ACB) was involved in an illicit relationship out of marriage with Mallikarjuna Reddy, an inspector posted at Kalwakurthy. Reddy is also a married man with children.
It was around 2.30 am on Sunday when her husband Surender Reddy caught duo in a cosying position at their resident.
Surender, an NRI who currently resides in London came to his place with his mother and mother-in-law after he warned his better-half over her illicit relationship several times. Female cop family members along Surender thrashed Mallikarjuna black and blue.
As per the statement, Sunitha met Mallikarjuna first met about two years back.
Surender claimed that “Mallikarjuna lured my wife while in the job”.
“Earlier, when we spoke to them, they claimed there was no affair. In last four months, I started doubting my wife. When I checked her messages with Mallikarjuna and asked her about them, she cross-questioned me," Surender said.
Surender also said he asked her to give divorce and enter into a legal relationship with Mallikarjuna.
A case has been registered against Mallikarjuna under the relevant section of Indian Penal Code including Section 448 (house trespass), Section 497 (adultery) and 506 (intimidation).
There will be no case against Sunitha Reddy. Local police said a report will be sent to Nargarkurnool SP on Mallikarjuna's immoral activities.
