Hyderabad: A serial killer named Mena Ramulu, who is accused of murdering 18 women, was arrested by police in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Rachkonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said that rams were targeted by women visiting liquor shops.

On January 4, he killed a woman named Venkatamma in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills area. She had to face the petrol to hide the identity. After about 20 days of investigation, the police arrested the accused Maina Rama. Rachkonda Police Commissionerate, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts have so far killed 18 women. As part of the joint operation, a police team from Hyderabad and Rachkonda arrested the accused and resolved two murder cases. Rama was jailed, but he escaped from the Red Gadda Hospital in 2011, police said. He was arrested again in 2013, but was released in 2018.

According to the information, 45-year-old Ramu is a labourer and a stone harvestworker. When he was arrested for the first time, he had 21 cases, of which 16 were murder cases. According to police, when Ramulu was 21 years old, the family married her. But shortly afterwards, his wife fled with another man. In such a situation, Ramu started harassing and killing women.

Gaina Rams gradually become a notorious killer. He only targeted women who had seen a baby or liquor store. Ramulu drank the baby before he committed a crime. After this, he tortured women.

According to the police, Ramulu was arrested in February 2011. At that time, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment, for which he was placed in Cherapally Central Jail. After some time he was admitted to the mental hospital in Erragadda for treatment, where he escaped with five other prisoners in December 2011.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said, After being in the paradise, Maina Ramulu was killed in Hyderabad's Bowanpalli police station area, Chanda Nagar police station area in Cyberabad and Dundigal police station area. At the same time, he was arrested in 2013, but was released in 2018 based on a petition filed in the High Court.
