Patna: The outbreak of flood has increased in Bihar. Hundreds of villages in Gopalganj, Motihari, Samastipur and Muzaffarpur have been flooded. To save lives, people leave home and livestock and take shelter on the National Highway and other high places. Rivers are taking a gigantic form. Villagers are being immersed in water. In Motihari, the Gandak river has reached the top of the road. 12 districts of Bihar are flood affected and floods have affected about 1 million population. On Sunday, the flood situation in Bihar became more serious and due to the flood, 5 more people lost their lives. Many lakh people are affected by floods in Bihar.

The population of more than 14 lakh 95 thousand people of 11 districts of Bihar is affected by the floods and more than 13 lakh 6 thousand people have been evacuated to safe places. According to the information received from the Ministry of Water Resources, the Bagmati River, Budhi Gandak, Kamla Balan, Lalbakia, Punpun, Adhwara, Khiroi, Mahananda and Ghaghra rivers have still risen above the danger mark.

A railway official has said that many trains of Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj and Samastipur-Darbhanga sections have been diverted. Rescue and relief work is going on in these flood-affected districts. A total of 25 teams of SDRF have been deployed. Food packets have been dropped by air force helicopters on Sunday in flood-affected districts.
