Ranchi: A minor Hindu girl kidnapped from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand has been recovered from Bengaluru. The girl's mother had alleged that her daughter was kidnapped with the intention of forced nikah and conversion. The victim's mother had named Shahid Ansari, Arbaaz Ansari and a member of the Muslim Anjuman Committee in the information to the police. She had told that six months ago her daughter was threatened with kidnapping.
According to the victim's mother, "On November 4, 2022, Shahid Ansari came to her house with his friends and started threatening her. Arbaaz and Shahid Ansari forcibly took away her daughter on a bike.'' According to the report, the woman said that the accused had been threatening to take away her daughter for six months. However, the police have recovered the girl from Bengaluru. This was confirmed by Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Ratan IV. He said that other information related to the case will be shared after the girl reaches Hazaribagh and her statement is recorded in the court.
Police said the girl had left home six months ago. The girl was brought back following a complaint at the police station. At that time the girl did not say who she had gone with. At the same time, BJP MLA from Hazaribagh Sadar Manish Jaiswal has accused the state government of appeasement. He said that such incidents are constantly coming to light with the sisters and daughters of the Hindu community. But, the government is only providing food in the name of action. Hindu organisations say the fast-unto-death will continue till the girl is handed over to her family members.
