Now recently, the actor has broken his silence about the failure of the movie and said that his heart has also been badly broken due to the flop of this film.
 
Recently, Shahid has said in an interview that, 'My heart was broken by the failure of jersey. I didn't expect this to happen to our film. Extending the release of the movie by four months, I think, had an impact. The movie is like a fast food, which should be eaten without waiting, but due to the epidemic, it happened due to the late release of our film. We all had never faced such a pandemic. We had nothing in our hands. Justice was not done to our movie. This film could have been a hit among the audience because the song of the film was also very popular among the people.

Reports say that Shahid Kapoor's movie 'Jersey'  could not do anything special at the box office. According to the news, 'Jersey' had earned only 19.68 crores at the box office, due to which 'Jersey' was included in the list of the lowest grossing movie of Shahid's career and also proved to be a flop among the audience. In this movie, Shahid played the role of a cricketer. At the same time, actress Mrinal Thakur and actor Pankaj Kapoor also played the lead role in this movie. Shahid's performance in the movie was highly praised by his fans.
