Recently the actor is shooting for his upcoming movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shraddha Kapoor. The movie, which is being helmed by Shree Narayan Singh also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam and will see Shahid play the role of a lawyer. Batti Gul Meter Chalu is slated to release on August 31, 2018.

And in his recent interviews, Shahid has been all praises for wife Mira Rajput crediting her for being his eternal support. Given that Shahid looks pretty young for his age, a leading daily asked him on the same, to this Sasha quipped, “I have a young wife, so I must keep fit. I have to keep up with Mira Rajput."

Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Padmaavat which was a huge hit. The movie also grabbed so much of attention from the public, having the star cast of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
