The second schedule of the ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is finally wrapped up. The second schedule is completed in Dehradun on Wednesday. 

The film had gone on floors only last month in Uttarakhand and is very close to completion, with only a few pending scenes left to shoot.

Confirming the news, Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment said, "Batti Gul Meter Chalu is shaping up wonderfully, and we can't wait to present the film to audiences. The last schedule will be shot in Mumbai in the month of April."

Shahid, who was accompanied by his wife Mira and daughter Misha, apparently fell ill on the last day of the shoot and rushed back to Mumbai, according to a report in Mid-day.

The film is all about on the issue of electricity shortage in the rural areas of the country.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ brings back director Shree Narayan Singh and Prernaa Arora after their successful outing ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.’

The film hits the theatres on August 31.

Shahid Kapoor also was known as Shahid Khattar, is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. Cited in the media as one of the most attractive Indian celebrities, Kapoor maintains his popularity despite a fluctuating career trajectory. Initially recognized for portraying romantic roles, Kapoor has since taken on parts in action films and thrillers. He is the recipient of several awards, including three Filmfare Awards.
