Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera has hit theatres across India today. The Karan Malhotra directorial also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.

According to the report, the movie Shamshera has already earned Rs 4 crore in advance booking till now,. The film’s advance booking kickstarted on a promising note, but lost momentum through the week. ‘Shamshera’ again picked up some pace on Thursday but by then it couldn’t make up on the lost ground, failing to cross the expected Rs 5 crore mark. Shamshera has recorded the second highest advance booking record for this year after Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which stands at Rs 7.10 crore.

 Shamshera hit the movie theatre and various people already started reviewing the movie from different social media platforms. One user wrote that Shamshera’s first half is just average nothing new in the storyline. Another user wrote that movie has a slow start but the cinematography and Ranbir Kapoor’s performance make the movie one time watchable.

Speaking about his role in Shamshera  Ranbir said “Leaving aside the joy of playing the hero, it is a great script again as much as Barfi or Sanju was. It was catering to a larger audience. It had an array of emotions, amazing characters and some amazing action sequences. It was this larger-than-life film.”

Sanjay Dutt who is playing the role of Darauga Shudh Singh said“Shamshera is an amazing film, most commercial film I have come across in recent times, it is made for the masses. This is kind of work I’ve done all my life, but it got somewhere forgotten in Bollywood.”
