Mumbai: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Lok Sabha MP Imtiaz Jalil had proposed an alliance to the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), which has raised the political temperature in Maharashtra. On one hand Shiv Sena has clearly said that this proposal will never be accepted, while on the other hand NCP chief and architect of Mahavikas Aghadi government Sharad Pawar has also rejected AIMIM's proposal outright.
Sharad Pawar further said, 'He can tell which party to go with. But he has to say yes to the party he wants to join. This is a political decision. Although this political decision has been proposed for Maharashtra, but as NCP the state has no right to take such a decision. Sharad Pawar further said that the state will not be able to take a decision in this regard until the National Committee takes a decision in this regard. So from our point of view this issue is over.
He further said that, as far as the proposal is concerned, this decision cannot be taken in any state unless the National Committee clarifies that the state can take a decision in this regard. Pawar said that discussions are going on in Maharashtra for the last two days, but for me this issue is over. By saying this, Sharad Pawar has covered this discussion. Let us tell you that Jalil had said that his party is ready to form an alliance with anyone to keep the BJP out of power.
