Sharad Pawar gave a shock to the Congress! BJP-NCP alliance in elections

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has been seen in a rebellious mood for the past few days. Days after opposing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani case, the NCP has now forged an alliance with the BJP in the crucial elections to market committees across Maharashtra. After this decision, it is believed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance of three and a half years has split. Market committees are marketing committees established in 1963 under the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Act, under which committees of various markets gather. It was formed to provide a fair price to the farmers for their crops, to be their voice, and to fight for their issues. According to media reports, Maharashtra Congress unit chief Nana Patole said that the NCP has joined hands with the BJP in at least 50 percent of the committees. We are paying attention to this on the basis of inputs received from the workers. We will brainstorm on this in the working committee meeting in Thane on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Nana Patole said that Sharad Pawar's statement against the JPC demand was a hoax. We did not expect that Pawar would oppose Rahul Gandhi's demand. Patole said that there would be no compromise on the demand for a JPC probe. Congress leader Nana Patole said that the competent authority has announced the election schedule for 258 out of 305 committees. Our information is that the BJP and NCP will contest elections together in more than 150 committees. This is very objectionable.
